Find the minimum admission requirements for applicants from your province from the list below. Be sure you also check the additional requirements for your intended area of study. Admission information specific to home-schooled applicants can be found at the bottom of this page.
If your first language is not English, you may need to take an English Language Test.
Conditional offers of admission will be made based on appropriate Grade 11 and midterm Grade 12 marks. You must submit all required documents by the published document deadline for your program(s) of interest. In our assessment, we will consider all your Grade 11 finals and Grade 12 finals/midterms (in progress) with emphasis on courses specific to the program to which you have applied. If you present a course at both the Grade 11 and the Grade 12 level, emphasis is placed upon the mark obtained in the more senior-level course.
In determining admissibility, the University of Toronto reserves the right to take into account repeated courses, grades in specific subjects and other aspects of the student’s academic record.
If you have taken any Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate HL subjects, you may be eligible for transfer credit.
If you have already applied and received an email acknowledgement from us, please check the status of your application at join.utoronto.ca for a complete list of documents required to complete your application.
