Description of Award: 

The Nortel Institute Undergraduate Scholarship, with an approximate value of $5,000, is awarded to undergraduate students in second or third year in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Faculty of Arts and Science, University of Toronto Mississauga and University of Toronto Scarborough. Candidates are considered on the basis of financial need, academic merit and an essay. Applicants must submit an essay on “The role and importance of Nanofabrication as well as its potential impact on society.” Maximum 500 words, along with 2 references.

Recipient must:

  • be a Canadian citizen /permanent resident and resident of Ontario;
  • be an undergraduate student in second or third year in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Faculty of Arts and Science, University of Toronto Mississauga or University of Toronto Scarborough;
  • demonstrate financial need and academic merit;
  • submit an essay on “The role and importance of Nanofabrication as well as its potential impact on society.”
