Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person (recognized convention refugee); enrolled full-time in an eligible program; eligible for Canadian government financial aid – such as OSAP – or First Nations band funding.
University of Toronto Advance Planning for Students (UTAPS) fills the financial gap for full-time students who receive the maximum amount of government financial aid available but whose funding doesn’t cover all their university costs.
Recipient must: • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person (recognized convention refugee); • be enrolled full-time in an eligible program (See: Eligible Programs); • be eligible for Canadian government financial aid or First Nations band funding; • be receiving the maximum amount of aid available, but this funding doesn’t cover all university costs.
Prospective students can complete the UTAPS Online Estimator to be considered for financial assistance.
OSAP recipients are considered automatically for UTAPS, no additional application is required. Students receiving financial aid from another Canadian province or territory or First Nations band funding must apply using an online UTAPS application at http://future.utoronto.ca/finances/financial-aid/university-toronto-advance-planning-students-utaps.
UTAPS assistance is paid to your ACORN account, to outstanding tuition first. Check your ACORN account for scheduled payments.
