Accessibility Services

Accessibility Services provides academic accommodations and services to students who have a disability including physical, visual, hearing, learning disability, mental health condition, acquired brain injury (e.g. concussion), ADHD, autism spectrum disorder or chronic health condition. Students who have temporary disabilities (e.g. broken dominant arm, recovery after surgery) are also eligible to receive services.

Career Centre

The Career Centre offers a variety of individual appointments, workshops, programs, employment services, events, drop-in services and resources to support you in your career journey.

Equity & Diversity Office

The Equity & Diversity Office works with students, staff, and faculty to make UTM more welcoming and inclusive for our diverse campus community. We also organize events and community building activities with students and campus partners, provide education and training, and resolution assistance with discrimination or harassment concerns.

Health & Counselling Centre

The Health & Counselling Centre is staffed with doctors, nurses, personal counsellors, psychiatrists, and a registered dietitian who will work with you to promote good physical and mental health to support academic success. We offer medical services similar to a family doctor’s office, and our personal counsellors offer short-term, solution-focused counselling. We also provide referrals to assist in accessing community resources or specialist care when more complex and/or longterm care is needed, and work closely with other UTM wellness services, including Accessibility Services, and the Department of Recreation, Athletics, and Wellness. The HCC also has an active health promotion team to deliver peer to peer health education.

Indigenous Centre

The UTM Indigenous Centre supports Indigenous students, staff, and faculty at UTM as well as inspire future Indigenous students to a welcoming and inclusive UTM community. The Indigenous Centre also offers opportunities for non-Indigenous peoples to better understand Indigenous peoples, cultures, stories, and ceremonies through programs such as learning circles, seminars, and drop-in chats.

International Education Centre

The International Education Centre offers international opportunities in over 150 countries for academic credit and as co-curricular experiences for as short as one week or for up to three semesters abroad. We also assist international students on immigration-related matters, University Health Insurance Plan and transition to University. Additionally, we have internationally focused events and programs that allow students to meet others who share the same interests, provide peer-to-peer support, and get connected to the UTM community.

Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre

The Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre offers a full range of workshops, seminars, facilitated study groups, and individual consultations to help you identify and develop academic skills needed for success in your studies. We work collaboratively with UTM faculty and teaching assistants to help deliver the best possible environments in classes, labs and tutorials.

UTM Early Learning Centre

The UTM Early Learning Centre is an on-campus licensed child-care facility that offers childcare information and support to parents, foster parents, and legal guardians who are students, staff or faculty at UTM. We offer child care subsidies to assist families with limited income.

UTM Library

The UTM Library is your partner in scholarly research. We have a team of academic librarians to help you, plus loads of study carrels, study rooms, casual seating, computer stations and – of course – books! We provide you with a vibrant, comfortable and safe environment to learn and study.
